Go4Meet ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our video conferencing service.
By using Go4Meet, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our service.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Name
- Password (encrypted)
- Profile information you choose to provide
Usage Information
When you use our service, we automatically collect:
- Device information (browser type, operating system)
- IP address and location data
- Meeting metadata (duration, participant count)
- Performance and diagnostic data
Session & Security Data
For every meeting session, we record the following data for each participant to enable fraud investigation and fulfil legal obligations:
- IP address (IPv4 or IPv6)
- Browser / client user-agent string
- Device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet — derived from user agent)
- Join and leave timestamps
- Join method (authenticated account or guest link)
- Display name used in the meeting
This data is kept for 2 years from the date of the session and then automatically deleted (see Data Retention). It is accessible only to platform administrators and, where required, to competent legal authorities.
Meeting Content
We do not store or record your video, audio, or chat content. All meeting communications are transmitted in real time via WebRTC and are not saved to our servers. Once your meeting ends, no media content is retained.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our video conferencing services
- Process your account registration and manage your subscription
- Send you service updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Analyze usage patterns to improve performance and user experience
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Maintain participation logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) that may be shared with competent authorities in cases of fraud or illegal activity
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use third-party services (like Stripe for payments) that process data on our behalf
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your information
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- End-to-end encryption for all video, audio, and chat communications
- TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit
- Encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Access controls and authentication mechanisms
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but continuously work to improve our security practices.
Legal Bases for Processing

Under the CCPA, we do not sell personal information to third parties. California residents have additional rights described in the Your Rights section below.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy or to comply with applicable law:

When you exercise your right to erasure, we will delete your personal data subject to any overriding legal retention obligations (e.g., tax records). Session logs that have not yet exceeded the 2-year period may be retained where we have a documented legitimate interest or legal obligation to do so.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have the following rights under the GDPR (EU/UK), LGPD (Brazil), or CCPA (California):
- Access / Right to Know: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you (GDPR Art. 15 · LGPD Art. 18 I · CCPA §1798.100)
- Correction / Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information (GDPR Art. 16 · LGPD Art. 18 III)
- Deletion / Erasure: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations (GDPR Art. 17 · LGPD Art. 18 VI · CCPA §1798.105)
- Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data to transfer to another provider (GDPR Art. 20 · LGPD Art. 18 V)
- Restriction of processing: Ask us to pause processing under certain circumstances (GDPR Art. 18 · LGPD Art. 18 IV)
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including profiling (GDPR Art. 21 · LGPD Art. 18 II)
- Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting previous processing
- No discrimination (CCPA): California residents will not be discriminated against for exercising their privacy rights
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@go4meet.com. We will respond within 30 days (or 45 days for CCPA requests). We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
If you are in the EU/EEA/UK and believe we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Brazilian residents may also contact the ANPD (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of our service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
